Some Reviews:

  • One of the best features, for those who know, that some of the best music comes from jams is the quality of music you can hear sometimes with only 10 to 30 people there thus a more cozy, friendly, home atmosphere. There is magic there for those who can see it, a sense of home that truly makes The Boulder Outlook an uncommon hotel. Like all the arts, there are more talented artists than there is recognition, and I feel I am witnessing part of music history from the young musicians, musicians past, and the up-and-coming musicians and bands of the future at The Boulder Outlook’s Blues and Greens, and I look forward to my positive experience in my Home of the Blues.

~A grateful customer~

  • The #1 blues venue in Colorado. They have more national blues bands playing in their lounge than any other place in Colorado. They feature music 5 to 6 nights a week and also feature the best Colorado blues bands. They have open stage jams on Tuesdays. Besides the weekend nights--they will get national acts on weekday nights.

  • Blues & Greens makes a fine addition to the list of Boulder restaurants serving healthy pub fare. The place is affordable, appealing and quirky. So if you like vegetarian food or blues music, make your way to the Outlook Hotel. Who knows? You may be getting in on the hot restaurant trend of 2012.

  • "Love the Outlook! What a great place to play and great place to find the best blues in Boulder. Dan King is a "saint" in how he treats our local musicians and Honey Sepeda's blues news is just what we needed to spread the word......and the pizza is pretty darn good too. Looking forward to our next show there.."

(These guys have a multitude of blues bands coming through each week. It might be a good place to blues bomb and get to know some blues bands local and otherwise.)

Review:

  • Great Location, Fun Staff, Awesome Music. What a cross of people who come into this cool place. Biker bar meets Key West/blue grass patio meets tourist town meets family gathering spot meets college bar meets white table cloth blues shows. What surprised me was the incredible line up of Blues artists that have shows at this diamond in the ruff.

(There are many different genres of music here but sounds like they do blues and bring in local blues bands as well.)

Review:

  • Pretty good place for live shows. The stage is a fairly good size and the sound had a good mix. This place offers a lot of room for both standing and sitting.

Got knocked down to 2 stars due to the service. After being ignored for about 15 mins, we were finally helped. The service was extremely slow and the price of the drinks varied from bartender to bartender. Something's fishy about that... and it's definitely a good way to lose my business.

Review:

  • After a stressful week, the Dickens Tavern hit the spot. My fiance and I enjoyed a relaxing Friday evening in the more casual side/bar. We had beer, wine, and dinner. The food was absolutely delicious. The service was great and the wait was not long at all. Additionally, the prices were reasonable. This place would be great for a romantic dinner, group gathering, or meeting up with friends at the bar. It is intimate and classy while also being casual.

(Upstairs is a venue for music and dancing. They have blues here as well. Downstairs is a restaurant.)
