Many community members have spoken up about wanting more opportunities for blues dance instruction and social dancing.  Rather than throwing the spaghetti at the wall and seeing what sticks, we wanted to collect some data, share that data, and see what we can make happen.

As of May 31, 2024 we received 69 responses to the survey.

We heard you loud and clear and since we published the survey on April 29th, a few organizers have made steps to implement some things based on responses and comments.

• Website – People asked for a central spot for Colorado Blues Dance info. We reinstated the website to go with the Facebook Group.
• Choreo/Performance Group – Joe and Katrina have started a 4 week series and there are plans for more ways to learn via choreography this summer.
• Practice Sessions – Our friends at the Beanfield are offering up their house for practice starting in July.
• More dance time during dance events – Felicia at Shimmy Shakin’ Blues is starting to whittle down the announcements and other things that take away from dancing.
• Classes – Starting in July we are going to be partnering with Mile High Blues Society to have lessons before the blues jam at Odde’s Music Grille.
